How to turn risk into reward

Our research among 210 senior executives in the consumer electronics industry reveals that too much caution from its leaders is holding their businesses back. Those questioned said that 72% of senior leaders insist on convoluted processes and controls and that 77% are guilty of “hesitating at a crucial moment”.

This comes at a time when the industry is facing massive challenges with supply chain disruption and the need to develop and demonstrate more sustainable solutions. If they are to stay in business then they need to change. The findings show that:

  • 54% of respondents fear going out of business if they cannot demonstrate sustainability
  • Only 20% see such disruption as an opportunity for growth
  • Only 33% state that innovation allowed them to seize an opportunity first
