The Great Engineering Challenge of Tomorrow
El Hackatón de Formación en Sostenibilidad es un evento de formación en línea organizado por Protolabs que prepara a los participantes de toda Europa ante un tema tan acuciante como la sostenibilidad. Es una gran oportunidad para los ingenieros de diseño, tanto noveles como experimentados, de aprender directamente de la mano de expertos de toda Europa. Les ayudará a prepararse ante la rápida evolución de la legislación «verde», es decir, los ambiciosos objetivos de la sociedad en materia de eficiencia energética, reducción de los residuos plásticos y mitigación de los gases de efecto invernadero y otros contaminantes.
Los diseñadores de productos se encuentran en una posición inmejorable para favorecer el avance hacia una economía más ecológica. Es más, cada vez se verán más obligados a hacerlo, y métodos como el análisis del ciclo de vida (ACV) son herramientas vitales para ayudar a los fabricantes a cumplir las exigencias de sostenibilidad actuales y futuras. EL EVENTO
Un evento para preparar a los ingenieros de diseño de toda Europa ante los futuros retos de la sostenibilidad, impartido por expertos en sostenibilidad y presentado por Protolabs en colaboración con la Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) y Wevolver.

Los participantes aprenderán directamente de la mano de expertos en el campo de la sostenibilidad aplicada al diseño de productos. A través de una serie de seminarios, seminarios web y mesas redondas, descubrirán cómo diseñar productos sostenibles mediante el análisis del ciclo de vida, centrándose en los materiales, la gestión de los datos, el cálculo de la huella de carbono y las mejores prácticas de sostenibilidad, todo ello en el marco de la legislación actual y futura.
Todos los debates, presentaciones y seminarios web que forman parte del Hackatón de Formación en Sostenibilidad de Protolabs estarán homologados como Desarrollo Profesional Continuado (DPC), de acuerdo con la política de DPC de la IET. El Hackatón de Formación completo equivaldrá a 20 horas de DPC, aunque cada sesión formativa individual (incluido el reto) tendrá también valor como DPC.

By Accident or Design? Regulation vs the Market as Drivers of Sustainable Food Production
Retailers are known to exert price pressure on food producers; however they also look ahead at what consumers will want in future years, and use this knowledge to influence food producers to supply ethical products, working with advocacy groups to instigate change and foster innovation, including AI mediated fish behaviour and welfare monitoring and even providing environments which produce positive emotions in fish. Regulators can also foster innovation by using a carrot rather than a stick - with many millions invested when it's done right.

Estas sesiones de formación se basarán en el principio del aprendizaje a través de la resolución de un reto:
¿qué rediseñarías desde el punto de vista del análisis del ciclo de vida (ACV) y la sostenibilidad?
Este reto dará a los participantes la oportunidad de trabajar en equipo y poner en práctica lo aprendido, recibir comentarios sobre su trabajo, compartir sus propios conocimientos y también ayudar a reconfigurar la comunidad mundial de ingenieros de diseño.
