Save Costs With CNC Flexible Lead Time Option

By Protolabs

Save Costs With Longer Lead Times

Our new CNC Flexible Lead Time option puts you in control of when you want your CNC parts shipped and how much you pay. If you can wait between 6 and 12 days then you will get a discounted price by using our flexible manufacturing option, which is still a far quicker guaranteed lead time than most other suppliers.

Alternatively, you can opt for our standard delivery of just 3 days, or if you have an urgent deadline to meet then we can ship your parts in as little as 1 day, using our expedited manufacturing service. Whichever you choose, you can now work to turnaround times that are best for your project.

Same service, same quality

And just to be clear, the lower-cost machining option is just the same as our automated CNC machining service; you will receive the same quality of parts, have the same choice of materials with the same design for manufacturing analysis using our online quoting portal.  The only difference is the delivery date.

How it works

Our e-commerce platform puts you in full control of your CNC machining project.  Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Upload your CAD into the quoting system
  2. Select your chosen material and quantity of parts
  3. On the screen you will see different lead time options with different costs
  4. Select your chosen delivery date
  5. Receive your free quote and 3D design for manufacturability analysis
  6. If your design is okay then go ahead and order – we will do the rest.

About our CNC machining service

We use 3-axis milling and 5-axis indexed milling for rapid prototyping and low volume production of end use plastic and metal parts. We also use live tooling that combines lathe and mill capabilities to machine parts with cylindrical features from metal rod stock

Using our online platform Protolabs 2.0 you can easily add threaded features including key and coil inserts for your interactive quote.  Our automated design analysis will help spot any difficult to machine features before your design is sent to the manufacturing floor and save you from costly reworks further down the product development cycle.

We stock more than 30 engineering grade plastic and metals that are suitable for all sorts of applications and industries.  These include plastics like ABS, polycarbonate, nylon and PEEK and metals such as aluminium, stainless steel, magnesium and copper.

Why not put us to the test and get a free quotation and design for manufacturability analysis by uploading your CAD now.
