You’ll still quote through either platform hubs.com or protolabs.com, but your purchasing and billing experience is becoming simpler and more streamlined. One EU entity for POs, invoicing, payments, statements, and vendor approval means a more consistent and efficient partnership.

Protolabs acquired Hubs.com in 2021, and since then has been working to integrate systems and operations. Unifying all financial activity under Protolabs Europe B.V. allows us to streamline processes, reduce complexity, and provide a more consistent and efficient customer experience.

What’s changing?

Starting 1 July 2026, all financial transactions will move from Proto Labs Germany GmbH, Proto Labs Limited and PL EURO SERVICES LIMITED to Protolabs Europe B.V. This includes:
•    Purchase order issuance
•    Invoicing
•    Payments and remittance
•    Vendor records
•    Customer statements

What if I already have Protolabs Europe B.V. set up as a vendor? Do I need to do anything?

If you already have Protolabs Europe B.V. set up as a vendor through your work with the Protolabs Network, please use this entity for all purchases from 1 July 2026 and discontinue the use of the existing legal entity.

What if I don't currently have Protolabs Europe B.V. set up as a vendor?

If you do not currently have Protolabs Europe B.V. set up as a vendor, you will need to set this vendor up and place all purchase orders with this vendor from 1 July 2026 and discontinue the use of the existing legal entity.

When do we need to begin issuing POs to Protolabs Europe B.V.?

Please begin issuing all new purchase orders to Protolabs Europe B.V. starting 1 July 2026. Any blanket POs issued to existing legal entity before that date will need to be closed or reissued under the new entity where applicable.

Will our open orders or current projects be impacted?

Open projects will continue as planned. If you have open POs under existing legal entity, we may ask you to close and reissue them under Protolabs Europe B.V., depending on their status and timing. Our team will guide you through this if needed.
